Description
Fugard™ Fuel Tank Foam Fire Suppression System
Fugard™ Fuel Tank Foam Fire Suppression System can suppress catastrophic explosions and drastically increase survivability of armored vehicles and aircraft.
It is a flexible network of structured polyurethane foam with fully open pores, composed of pentagon and dodecahedron skeletal networks of tiny lightweight interconnecting strands, which acts as a 3D fire screen. The foam confines the vapor ignition to the immediate area surrounding the ignition source and prevents a chain reaction from occurring. Flame and wave propagation are mitigated by the foam to below propagation levels.
